AL-FIDAA CLINIC BRIEF BACKGROUND
Access to medical services proves challenging to many of our beneficiaries who cannot afford the costing of private services or are not physically able to stand in long queues at our
state run clinics and hospitals. Many of the beneficiaries served by the organisation, are either pensioners or people who are affected by high-blood pressure, diabetics, or other chronic illnesses. Tashreequa Leander, Supervisor of the Al-Fidaa Clinic says, “Several incidences were observed of beneficiaries falling ill while visiting the organisation due to poor eating habits, illnesses and in more serious cases, neglect by family members” . The overwhelming influx of patients upon government medical structures makes the Al-Fidaa Foundation Clinic a worthy cause of support.

AIM OF THE AL-FIDAA CLINIC
The aim of the clinic is to provide general health care awareness to the poor, needy and vulnerable beneficiaries of the Foundation. Services will include the provision of basic health care screening, monitoring and education of blood pressure, sugar levels, diet and general health awareness by a qualified home based carer. The service will be accessible to all Al-Fidaa beneficiaries irrespective of age or gender.
Other services offered:
– Basic assessment of a beneficiary’s basic health needs
– To provide quality care to the beneficiaries of the Wellness clinic
– Provide information regarding dietary requirements for specific health care conditions
– Render home visits to approved beneficiaries to monitor health care
– Monitor and encourage physical exercise to beneficiaries
– Refer beneficiaries to the relevant medical professionals for follow up if and when necessary
The Wellness clinic will echo the ethos of Al Fidaa Foundation by providing a quality service to enrich the lives of our beneficiaries and communities.
The Wellness clinic will operate from 4 July 2018, Mondays to Thursdays from 09h00 – 16h00.
